Since the day started out rainy, it cancelled my weekend plans for painting the interior of the gazebo. Instead, Jeff and I decided to take a road trip. Our destination was heading south and west, toward Le Center. We wanted to check out some lakes in the area.
Just barely making it down the road, we came upon a calf being born. It was so cool! We watched as the momma cleaned the calf off. I was snapping shots with my phone camera. As I turned away, Jeff pointed back to the calf. It had nearly been standing. of course, by the time my camera was in position, it went down again. It was the sweetest thing! I am still trying to figure out how to download pictures from my phone to the computer, so once I am able to do that, I will post a picture of the little one.
We only ended up seeing one lake in our travels, but spending the afternoon together, enjoying the easy pace, was priceless. 🙂
