So many times we are faced with decisions. Do we start a new career? Do we end a stale relationship? Do we move to another city, state, or country? We are never sure if we have made the right decision until we have traveled down the road further. Then we can say, in hindsite, this was the right (or wrong) decision for me.
This morning, I was reading a really good philosophy for which to make those big decisions. We can ask ourselves, does this path have heart? Does the way of change, or does the path we are currently following, have a heart. Is it a path of love and compassion? Can we feel nurtured and sustained emotionally? Can we grow mentally and spiritually while on this path? If the answer is yes, we are on the right path. If the answer is no, we have just cause to not stay on that path. It’s that simple.
Does this path have heart? If not, get off the path. There are other paths to follow that will sustain you and help you grow. All you need to do is step off the path you are currently on.
Easier said than done, right?
